Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the shift team to ensure production meets specifications, quality standards, and efficiency targets.
  • Uphold and promote safe working practices, ensuring compliance with all health and safety procedures.
  • Manage team performance through training, appraisals, mentoring, and succession planning.
  • Plan and direct daily operations, maintaining a visible presence on the production floor.
  • Communicate effectively with the team through regular meetings, feedback sessions, and performance presentations.
  • Optimise production schedules, troubleshoot issues, and maintain operational excellence.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to solve problems and deliver continuous improvement projects.
  • Support and drive lean manufacturing initiatives and quality improvement programs.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Essential Criteria:

  • At least 3 years' supervisory or management experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in WCOM/Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and achieve targets.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Flexibility to work various shift patterns as required.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Degree in a manufacturing-related discipline or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification.
  • Experience with SAP systems.
