We're recruiting on behalf of a leading food manufacturing client supply major UK grocery retailers, offering an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and make a real impact on their operations.
Location: Ballymena
Hours: 40 hours, Monday to Friday (rotating shifts)

The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of electrical, mechanical, and automated equipment in a modern, fast-paced food production facility. This role requires a proactive, hands-on approach to maintain and optimise equipment reliability and performance while ensuring production targets are met efficiently and safely.
You'll work closely with cross-functional teams in a supportive and collaborative environment while enjoying the autonomy to manage your tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards in line with company and industry regulations.
- Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical production equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve faults, including working with control panels and automated systems.
- Follow and complete preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
- Provide technical support to production teams.
- Maintain infrastructure to a high standard, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Implement improvements to enhance machine reliability and product quality.
- Utilise CMMS systems to monitor performance and drive cost efficiencies.
- Comply with food safety, quality, and environmental standards.
What We're Looking For
Essential Criteria:
- Time-served Electrical & Mechanical Engineer.
- At least 2 years' recent experience in an industrial or high-volume production environment, ideally within food manufacturing.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills with control panels and automated systems.
- Highly motivated, with the ability to excel in a fast-paced, challenging setting.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
