About the Role:
Are you a skilled engineering leader with a passion for driving improvements and maintaining world-class standards in a manufacturing environment? Join our clients manufacturing team and play a critical role in supporting their core business through effective maintenance management and continuous improvement.

As the Maintenance Engineering Manager, you will lead our maintenance team, ensuring optimal performance of machinery and systems while driving key site projects and improvements. You will play a pivotal role in maximising site quality and yield, with a proactive approach to reducing downtime and enhancing production efficiency.

What's in it for you:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate the engineering team, ensuring performance targets and KPIs are achieved, while offering mentorship and training when necessary.
  • Conduct regular machinery inspections to prevent potential issues.
  • Communicate effectively in multidisciplinary meetings, providing clear updates on maintenance activities.
  • Develop and implement robust maintenance schedules to optimise equipment performance and minimise downtime.
  • Assist with factory expansions and installations of machinery and equipment.
  • Manage the maintenance department's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health & safety and environmental regulations within the maintenance team.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and equipment efficiency.
  • Implement world-class asset care strategies to minimise unplanned downtime and drive technical improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and inventory.


Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience, ideally in the food or beverage industry.
  • Level 3 qualification in Engineering discipline
  • Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, mechanical & electrical systems, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and strong IT literacy.
