Electrical Engineer

The successful candidate for this role will need to be a problem solver with the ability to critically evaluate current processes and data while demonstrating original thinking in developing approaches to support live projects and presales efforts. Additionally, this role requires collaboration with a team of electrical engineers across the department to ensure the efficient delivery of projects.

What you'll do:
· Produce accurate BOMs for electrical purchase components.
· Interpret client requirements to develop electrical designs.
· Prepare detailed electrical design and general arrangement drawings for motor control and power distribution panels.
· Create documentation for testing, inspection, and commissioning of electrical systems.
· Specify site-specific cables and components for all plant items.
· Keep up to date with changes to applicable legislation for the global market.
· Understand and manage Electrical CE Marking requirements and create the electrical section of the Technical File for each product and project.
· Apply the requirements for IEE wiring regulations 18th edition.
· Ensure designs comply with relevant specifications, standards, and safety regulations.
· Focus on reducing cost and cycle time for current plant equipment and projects.
· Participate in quality reviews and process control systems.
· Engage in continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
· Liaise with suppliers to ensure electrical designs meet manufacturing capabilities.
· Keep up to date with technological advances and new products.
· Follow electrical processes and procedures to ensure high-quality drawings and BOMs align with company processes.
What We're Looking For:
· Proven experience in the design of electrical control systems using EPLAN and AutoCAD systems.
· Strong understanding of IEE wiring regulations 18th edition.
· Familiarity with Electrical CE Marking requirements.
· Proficiency in preparing detailed electrical design and general arrangement drawings.
· Experience in producing BOMs for electrical purchase components.
· Project management skills.
· Excellent communication and liaison skills, particularly with suppliers and clients.
· Ability to keep up to date with changes in applicable legislation and technological advances.
