Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

Working Hours: Monday to Friday

About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in building services to join our team in Belfast. This role will focus on the design of electrical systems for a variety of building projects. If you have a qualification in building services, that's a big plus! You will be involved in designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for building services projects, ensuring designs meet regulatory requirements and client needs.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and departments to deliver integrated solutions for each project.
  • Produce detailed design drawings, specifications, and documentation using design software such as AutoCAD.
  • Provide technical input and support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept through to final handover.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and site surveys to ensure designs are tailored to specific project requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and external consultants to ensure project goals are met within budget and time constraints.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to electrical systems and building services.
  • Ensure that all electrical designs are compliant with health and safety standards and industry regulations.

About You:

  • Proven experience in electrical design within the building services sector.
  • Ideally, a qualification in Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems design, including lighting, power distribution, and energy efficiency.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and other industry-related tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards for electrical systems in building services.
