Senior Procurement Strategist

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting a highly reputable company with the Recruitment of a Senior Procurement Manager to join an award winning company at their Enniskillen Site.

Hours - Mon - Fri - 09:00-17:00

Salary - £55,000 - £65,000 - Negotiable depending on Experience + Benefits Package

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing: Identify and evaluate suppliers to ensure the best value for products and services. Negotiate contracts and terms to achieve cost savings and quality improvements.
  • Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues that arise.
  • Purchasing Decisions: Collaborate with senior management to align procurement strategies with company goals. Provide insights and recommendations on purchasing decisions.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchases, contracts, and transactions. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Digital Order Management: Oversee the digital management of all orders, from requisition to delivery. Implement and utilise procurement software to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the procurement budget. Monitor expenditures and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new products. Use this information to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and ethical standards. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Reporting: Report to senior management any relevant information that may be important.
  • Supplier Sourcing: Source potential new suppliers.
  • Order Management: Manage purchase orders, oversee shipping schedules, and maintain purchase records. * Stock Requirements: Determine stock requirements based on demand and place orders accordingly.
  • Cross-Department Liaison: Liaise with other functional departments within the company to resolve any queries and streamline processes.
  • Specification Compliance: Ensure parts and materials ordered meet correct specifications.

Essential Criteria:

  • 3-5 Years Experience as a Procurement Manager
  • MCIPS / CIPS
