Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of cost estimates and tenders for construction projects.
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine cost structures.
- Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
- Develop value engineering solutions to optimize project costs.
- Collaborate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and clients to refine bid proposals.
- Evaluate risks and opportunities associated with each project.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market trends, material costs, and labour rates.
- Support contract negotiations and pre-construction planning.
The Ideal Person:
- Proven experience as a Senior Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and pricing strategies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
