Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician - Electrical & Mechanical
Overview
We are looking for experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our dynamic Maintenance Department. This position involves executing day-to-day electrical and mechanical maintenance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, focusing on both preventive and reactive maintenance. As a key player in ensuring uninterrupted production, your responsibilities will include troubleshooting, machinery repair, and proactive support to maximise production output.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficient Breakdown Response: Rapidly respond to and resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
- Documentation and Communication: Maintain thorough records of maintenance activities and communicate changes clearly to relevant teams.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teammates to ensure smooth, efficient plant operations.
- Preventive and Reactive Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance and respond to unscheduled equipment needs.
- Compliance with Standards: Ensure tasks are completed to high standards, adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
- Health & Safety Participation: Engage in compliance processes, including Permit to Work and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) systems.
- Safety Reporting: Promptly report any safety concerns, incidents, or near misses.
- Ongoing Training: Attend relevant training sessions to maintain qualifications and competencies.
- Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate effective working relationships with key stakeholders and team members.
- Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as required by management, aligned with qualifications and skillset.
Essential Criteria
- Apprenticeship: Completed in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines within a manufacturing environment.
- Educational Qualifications: BTEC ONC qualification (or equivalent) in engineering.
- Experience: At least 3 years in a manufacturing setting, with demonstrated skills in electrical and mechanical fault-finding and maintenance.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with a logical, organised approach.
- Team Player: Ability to work both independently and within a team, adaptable to continental day and night shifts.
Desirable Criteria
- Advanced Qualification: BTEC HNC/HND in an engineering discipline.
- Industry Experience: Background in regulated sectors, such as Pharmaceuticals.
- Automation Skills: Familiarity with control systems and automated equipment.
