Engineering Supervisor (Belfast)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Engineering Supervisor to lead our electrical team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems across our facilities, ensuring all operations are carried out safely and efficiently. You will play a key part in driving continuous improvement, maintaining high standards, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of electrical engineers and technicians, ensuring they perform their duties effectively and safely.
  • Oversee electrical projects from inception to completion, including planning, resource allocation, and execution, while ensuring time lines and budgets are met.
  • Lead the maintenance and repair of all electrical systems and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols, including conducting regular safety audits.
  • Diagnose complex electrical issues and provide effective solutions to minimise disruption and ensure the continued operation of all systems.
  • Identify areas for improvement within the electrical department and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of all electrical work, including maintenance logs, safety checks, and project reports.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to team members to develop their skills and ensure they are up-to-date with the latest technologies and safety practices.


Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLC's, maintenance practices, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with experience in managing teams.
  • Proficiency in using electrical engineering software and tools.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with a track record of implementing and maintaining high safety standards.
