Are you a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical background and experience working with PLCs?

We are seeking a Dual Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our client's team. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment through effective maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment with a focus on electrical systems.
  • Fault-find and repair equipment using PLCs and other control systems.
  • Conduct diagnostics, identify root causes of equipment failures, and implement effective solutions.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing enhancements to equipment and processes.
  • Collaborate with the wider engineering team to ensure effective communication and handover between shifts.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report issues promptly.

Experience:

  • Third level qualification in Engineering discipline or Engineering apprenticeship
  • Familiarity with PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar) and experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems.
  • Dual-skilled in both electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to work on a shift pattern, with a majority of the shifts being day shifts.
