VANRATH are recruiting a Site Manager to work on high end fit out projects, based in Antrim, Northern Ireland. Projects are based in London and the Site Manager will need to be happy to stay away during the working week.

Client:
Our client is a leading interior fit-out contractor based in Antrim, Northern Ireland. They carry out a range of fit-out projects across various sectors including commercial, hotels, luxury residential and specialist joinery projects.

The business is thriving and are winning new projects regularly. As a result, they are looking for an experienced and ambitious Site Manager to join them.

The Site Manager will be responsible for the effective management of supervisors, site operative and sub-contractors ensuring that all works identified as being within the defined project scope of supply are completed correctly, to specification and within the identified project programme/schedule.

Main Responsibilities:

• Co-ordination of the works and the day to day operations in compliance with the contract programme
• Developing weekly and detailed daily work schedules to progress all works consistent with the overall project schedules
• Application of all relevant processes and procedures as set out in the overall company procedure file or defined in the specific Project Quality Plan (P.Q.P)
• Monitor all aspects of the works to ensure that the required levels of quality are secured throughout all phases of the works by application of stringent quality control measures
• Ensure all appointed supervisors and subcontractors are correctly informed of project requirement taking into account the following:

• Scope/supply
• Work Package Definition
• Project schedule
• Weekly work schedule
• Daily detailed work schedule
• Quality assurance requirements
• Quality control
• Material requisition
• Material storage
• Maintenance of all associated records
• Logistics and material deliveries
• Health and safety
• Environment control
• All associated administrations

• Taking full account of all elements listed above provide full support and guidance to all appointed sub-contractors and/or supervisors
• At the instruction of the Project Manager, the Site Manager will take full and direct responsibility for one or more works package by applying direct supervision, monitoring all aspects of the work through all phases of execution, control quality, control overall performance, maintain all relevant records and apply procedure as called for by the Company and/or the main contractor/client
• Undertake any other duties within the job holder's sphere of knowledge, experience or competency as requested.

The Ideal Person:

• Degree qualified or other relevant qualifications
• Track record working as a Site Manager
• Experience working on high end fit out projects
• Dry lining experience
• Working knowledge of joinery and finishing trades
• Knowledgeable of building codes and construction safety regulations
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to plan ahead and organise workload
• CSCS / CSR Card holder
• First Aid Trained
