VANRATH are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to work on fit out projects for a leading contractor based in Armagh, Northern Ireland.

Remuneration:
£Competitive DOE + excellent package

Client:
Our client is a leading contractor that specialises in the fitout sector. The business have been operating for decades and specialise in creating bespoke interiors within the entertainment, luxury hospitality and prime residential sectors.

Due to continued growth, the business have an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join them on a permanent basis.

Overview:
The Quantity Surveyor will be involved in the commercial management of various diverse and high end fitout projects, working alongside the Senior QS and Project Manager in a client facing role.

Minimal Travel Requirements:
The Quantity Surveyor will only be required to travel 1 or 2 days per month (all travel costs of course paid for).

Responsibilities Include:

  • Preparation and submission of valuations
  • Collating variation quotations
  • Procurement and management of sub-contractor accounts
  • Collating and administering subcontractor documents
  • Review of main contract documents & provide contractual advice to the project team
  • Preparation of Monthly CVR/Cost Reports and final accounts
  • Value engineering & risk management control


The Ideal Person:

  • Degree qualified or other relevant qualifications
  • Experience working on fit out and / or refurbishment projects is ideal
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role
  • Commercially astute
  • Strong IT skills
  • Articulate, critical thinker and problem solver with strong technical ability
  • Good communication skills and able to collaborate effectively within a team environment
