The Role

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of the global animal health market, identifying trends, growth opportunities, and emerging technologies.
  • Perform competitor analysis to assess market positioning and pinpoint strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Identify new business development opportunities and assist in strategy formulation and execution to drive company growth.
  • Collaborate with key internal teams to develop and refine strategies, ensuring alignment with the company's long-term goals.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with partners, key opinion leaders, and industry experts.
  • Analyse data to provide actionable insights and support strategic decision making. * Prepare monthly delivery performance reports, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Product Development, to gather insights and refine strategies.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including potential partners and clients, to gather strategic insights and maintain strong relationships.
  • Stay attuned to shifts in market dynamics, consumer behaviour, and emerging technologies, adapting strategies as necessary.
  • Drive the development of new initiatives, sales proposals, and product offerings tailored to the needs of key accounts.

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, market research, or a similar analytical role, ideally within the animal health or pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong market analysis, research, and strategy development skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across internal and external teams.
  • High-level analytical aptitude and ability to distil complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Demonstrable business acumen and commercial judgement.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
  • Highly credible with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with senior leadership, clients, and key stakeholders.
