Sales Manager (Telematics / Telecoms)

A key client within the Telematics & Telecoms sector has been evolving and they are now looking to bring in a Sales Manager due to GROWTH, the successful candidate will drive sales strategies and teams.

Salary
£50,000 + Commission/Bonus of a further £20,000 on top (£70,000 OTE)

Responsibilities:

The Sales Manager, reporting to the Sales Director, will oversee the sales operations for Telematics and Telecoms. This role involves maximising the growth and development of existing customers while also driving new business growth in alignment with the company's expectations and budgets.

  • Manage the Sales Team (office and field based), with managing Gross Profit, monthly targets, monthly new business targets and existing customer renewals.
  • Set targets for additional products, services and number of vehicles using our products and services.
  • In conjunction with the marketing team, help develop the market strategy for telematics and telecoms.
  • Review output and ROI for all marketing activity.
  • Implement a lead referral process covering Telematics, Telecom and Fuel opportunities.
  • Analyse, evaluate and report on individual, team and department performances against targets and allocate commission payments.
  • Implement the inclusion of an appraisal for all sales colleagues.
  • Manage monthly 1-2-1 processes for Regional Account Manager, Business Development Managers and Business Development Executives, identifying training and development requirements.
  • With the support of the finance team, manage the sales conversion and output in the weekly forecast review.
  • Assist in development of new/enhanced products.
  • Oversee the application of company policies and people process.

Requirements:

  • Educated to A-level standard as a minimum requirement.
  • Proven track record of successful sales team management, exceeding targets (within Telecoms, IT or Telematics)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Previous knowledge of fleet products ideal.
  • Management and leadership expertise.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail with ability to organise and prioritise.
  • Commercially focused and resilient.
