Job Description

VANRATH are working with a prestigious and thriving Construction based company with the recruitment of a Technical Sales Administrator . The successful candidate will be involved from enquiries to the delivery of precast concrete products, generally associated with civil engineering projects. Working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

This is a permanent position. Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Reading and interpreting customer drawings, producing a breakdown of the materials required
  • Pricing bespoke products & creating quotations
  • Processing & breaking down customer orders
  • Co-ordinating projects and maintaining project records
  • Producing all relevant documentation & drawings for production team & customers
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants, and colleagues
  • Ordering various products relating to customer orders
  • Calling off products for delivery
  • Ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of their work
  • Organising & prioritising projects based on customer requirements
  • Providing technical support and advice for customers and contractors
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested by management

Essential Criteria:

  • English & Maths equivalent to Grade C or above.
  • Good computer skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office in particular Excel.
  • Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise work and manage a number of tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to work on own initiative but understand level of responsibility within the team. * Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Ability to interact with a wide range of people including clients, contractors & consultants.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Be a highly motivated individual with initiative, self-confidence, with the drive and ability to work under their own direction or within a team of professionals.
  • Be keen to develop their individual capability and career development.

The Ideal Person:

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Experience of working in civil engineering or precast concrete manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Civil Engineering products (eg Drainage pipes/manhole/shafts/cover slabs).
  • Knowledge of British Standards & Eurocodes.
  • Willingness to continue personal development.
  • Hold a valid Driving licence.
