Role: Rural Regeneration Officer - Temporary - Belfast
Job Overview
VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector organisation, in their search for a Rural Regeneration Officer for 3 months initially. You will assist in the administration and management of the delivery of regeneration programmes and to assist in the delivery of business objectives of the Rural & Regeneration team.
- Salary: £15.70/hour
- 37 hours per week
- Belfast city centre office
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure meetings comply with legal and procedural requirements, including quoracy and governing documents.
- Organise, schedule, and facilitate meetings by drafting agendas, distributing papers, and recording accurate minutes.
- Advise on appointments, removals, and governance matters, supporting the Chairman and Governing Body.
- Deliver an annual induction programme for new Governors and assist with self-assessments.
- Prepare financial plans, monitor expenditure, and manage contracts as a budget holder.
- Maintain a Governance Risk Management Register, with regular reviews and reports to committees.
- Keep governance records, publish meeting papers, and manage the register of Governors' interests.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and equality laws, promote the College, and provide additional support as required.
Essential Criteria:
- Degree or Level 6 qualification with at least one year of relevant experience OR
- HND or Level 5 qualification with at least two years of relevant experience OR
- Equivalent professional development or experiential learning with at least three years of relevant experience
Including experience in the following:
- Delivering housing and/or regeneration community outcomes.
- Working and communicating effectively with stakeholders to meet customer needs.
- Implementing housing and/or regeneration policies.
- Interpreting data, compiling reports, and managing complex information.
- Using IT systems to manage budgets and process payments.
- Driving Licence:Full UK driving licence or access to transport to fulfil the role.
