VANRATH is delighted to be partnering with a leading public sector organisation in the recruitment of a Research Officer (Education). This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced research professional to contribute to evidence-based decision-making within a high-profile environment.
The Role
As a Research Officer, you will play a key role in providing impartial, high-quality research and analysis to inform policy development and legislative scrutiny. Working closely with key stakeholders, including senior officials and committees, you will produce a range of research outputs, present findings, and support the development of forward work programmes.
What You'll Do:
- Deliver timely, accurate, and objective research to inform policy decisions.
- Analyse and synthesise information from diverse sources, including regional and international databases.
- Produce and present research papers, briefings, and data visualisations to committees and stakeholders.
- Provide research support for legislative scrutiny, including bill research and impact assessments.
- Engage with external research bodies and contribute to knowledge exchange initiatives.
- Support training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing within the organisation.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds at least a 2:1 honours degree (or postgraduate qualification) with 50%+ content related to Education policy.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience conducting evidence-based research and delivering findings to support policy discussions.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple research projects.
