Quantity Surveyor - Hybrid - Belfast
VANRATH is excited to collaborate with a prominent construction contractor based in Belfast, in their search for a Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join their growing team. This role will involve working on civil engineering projects in the energy, renewables, road, and traffic sectors across Belfast and its surrounding areas.
The Role:
- Ensure financial security and control of contracts from tendering to project completion.
- Collaborate with external suppliers and customers to provide project updates and address contractual issues.
- Ensure timely submission of main contract payment requests and fair treatment of subcontractor payments in accordance with agreements and regulations.
- Forecast and report costs against value to maintain contract profitability projections.
- Manage subcontractor accounts, including inquiries, comparisons, payments, variations, disputes, and final settlements.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures.
- Stay informed about the estimating process and contribute to budget management.

What You Need:
- 3 plus years' experience, either in contractor or consultancy companies.
- Civil Engineering project experience in the value excess of £100K+ in value.
- Commercial awareness with a view to progressing into a commercial role in the future.
