Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join a thriving Food manufacturing company (one of the largest in Ireland, and the most Modern).

Working hours - Mon - Thursday 8:30 - 17:00

Friday 8:30 - 15:45

(Monday - Friday) - Office is based in Craigavon - Permanent role

Responsibilities:

  • The Purchasing Manager is responsible for the safe operation and day to day control of the Purchasing function on the Craigavon site.
  • To develop relationships with other key internal departments eg. Planning, Operations, Commercial and Procurement teams.
  • To work with supply base to initiate and develop optimised ordering arrangements, respecting MOQ, Minimum Stock levels, leadtimes, scheduling of deliveries.
  • To assist in cost saving initiatives.
  • To work closely with the Central Procurement and Operations teams to maximise efficiencies within the company.
  • To identify areas for development within the department and evaluate current working practices and implement KPI's.

The Ideal Person:

  • Experience in similar role
  • Previous experience with ERP systems and Microsoft office
  • Successful track record of project and people management.
