Production / Manufacturing Engineer (DAY SHIFT)

Our client is a global leader in specialised engineering solutions, delivering cutting-edge technologies for materials and industries like environmental and resource management. We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team and play a crucial role in optimising processes that drive efficiency, quality, and safety in our operations.

The Role


As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll work hands-on with design, production, and quality teams to fine-tune processes and bring smart, cost-effective improvements to the floor. What You'll Be Doing

  • Process Optimisation: Refine and improve manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Lead continuous improvement initiatives and introduce lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve workflows.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, providing technical support to production teams.
  • Project Management: Manage process improvement projects, handling timelines, budgets, and cross-team coordination.
  • Equipment & Tools: Specify, source, and oversee the installation of new tools and equipment to support production needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with quality control to ensure products meet high standards and take corrective action when needed.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain up-to-date documentation, including risk assessments, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Training & Development: Train staff on new processes and equipment, and stay current with industry advancements.

What We're Looking For

  • A degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
  • Experience (3-5 years) in a manufacturing engineering role, ideally in assembly operations.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with CAD and process simulation tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, driven by data.
  • Six Sigma certification and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (nice to have but not essential).
