About the role:
Our client, a well-established manufacturing business in Ballymena is seeking a Production Manager to oversee its operations in a growing and dynamic environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career to develop within production management, with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning: Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly schedules to meet customer demands and inventory goals.
  • Process Efficiency: Monitor production metrics such as efficiency and downtime, making adjustments to optimise performance.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all products meet quality standards and comply with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement, reduce waste, and update SOPs for efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support a team of production staff, providing training, task allocation, and performance management.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Promote a safety-first culture, conduct safety audits, and ensure adherence to HSE policies.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production outputs, equipment maintenance, and generate performance reports for senior management.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of production management systems, ERP software, and quality control processes.
  • Strong technical and organisational skills, with a proactive and safety-conscious approach.
