Production Engineer
Are you a Production / Process / Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical bias and is experienced with SCADA and PLC's? This could be a great opportunity for you to join a company that has been in business for over 100 years and is still growing.
About the role:
Analyse and optimize production processes to meet performance targets, provide technical leadership, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to reduce waste, minimise downtime, and enhance process efficiency.

What you'll do:

  • Provide technical leadership and training to the production team
  • Coordinate process-related issue resolution
  • Implement lean techniques to improve yield, quality, and productivity
  • Monitor and respond to production efficiency trends
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects
  • Liaise with third-party contractors for problem-solving and process development
  • Plan and execute capital improvement projects
  • Ensure adherence to company H&S policies on shift
  • Perform other duties as required

About you:

  • Strong academic background in process engineering or a time-served maintenance technician with process control experience.
  • HNC in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.
  • Experience of PLCs, variable speed drives, and fault-finding.
  • Experience with SCADA systems, pneumatics, and supervisory roles, knowledge of LEAN manufacturing.
