Client

A leading Public Sector organisation based in Ballymena who provide a significant service in the local community, are currently recruiting an experienced Payroll Officer.

We are keen to speak with experienced Payroll Officer to join on an initial contract with the realistic opportunity for extension.

This role is an urgent requirement for the business and can offer the opportunity for an immediate start, for the right candidate.

The Ideal Person

  • Previous experience within Payroll is essential.
  • Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

As a Payroll Advisor you will:

  • Collate timesheets and other information which relates to payments
  • Check that all documentation received is properly authorised
  • Input data from timesheets and other documentation.
  • Undertake checks to ensure accuracy of input
  • Calculate and input payment details for staff with more than one post and ensure costing is correct
  • Calculate authorised manual payments, ensure accurate and timely posting, and ensure manual payments are subsequently recouped where appropriate
  • Calculate and input sick pay and maternity pay in accordance with appropriate schemes and statutory regulations
  • Calculate and input amounts for other college schemes such as the Cycle to Work and Childcare Voucher Schemes
  • Initiate and complete all documentation relating to terminations such as P45 tax form, pension forms where applicable
  • Maintain personal employee records, including master data, and in relation to sickness and absences
