Oracle DBA - Temporary Contract
Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland (Hybrid)
Hourly rate £26
Contract Type: Temporary (with potential for permanent role)
Are you an experienced Oracle DBA with a passion for ensuring database reliability, performance, and scalability? Join our clients team at a leading public sector organisation in Belfast, where your expertise will make a significant impact on our critical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Administer and support Oracle RAC environments, ensuring seamless operation.
- Perform database tuning, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimise database designs and queries.
- Implement and manage Oracle software and tools, including RMAN, Data Guard, and ASM.
- Monitor database performance and proactively address any issues.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organisational policies.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Oracle DBA in a professional environment.
- Expertise in Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) and other Oracle technologies.
- Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
- Familiarity with Oracle Data Guard, ASM, and RMAN.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
