Job Advertisement: Operations Administrator (Hospitality & Catering)

Location: Newry Campus (with occasional travel to other campuses)
Salary: £23,500 per annum
Contract: Temporary, full-time, 36 hours per week (Interim until 31st March 2025)

Overview:

VANRATH are recruiting on behalf of a renowned educational institution for an Operations Technician in the Hospitality & Catering department. This role provides essential technical and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of kitchens and restaurants, aligning operations with curriculum needs and health & safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support sourcing and management of catering equipment and consumables.
  • Provide training to staff on new equipment across campuses.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is safe and coordinate repairs and servicing.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of equipment and assets, performing regular inventory checks.
  • Monitor health, hygiene, and safety standards, managing HACCP records and risk assessments.
  • Contribute to reporting, documentation, and effective resource management.

Essential Criteria:

  • Level 3 qualification (or higher) in any discipline.
  • GCSE in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • At least one year of relevant customer service or administrative experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working with apprentices, trainees, or students.

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to travel between campuses, holding a full UK driving license or equivalent access to transportation.
