Job Advertisement: Operations Administrator (Hospitality & Catering)
Location: Newry Campus (with occasional travel to other campuses)
Salary: £23,500 per annum
Contract: Temporary, full-time, 36 hours per week (Interim until 31st March 2025)
Overview:
VANRATH are recruiting on behalf of a renowned educational institution for an Operations Technician in the Hospitality & Catering department. This role provides essential technical and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of kitchens and restaurants, aligning operations with curriculum needs and health & safety legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support sourcing and management of catering equipment and consumables.
- Provide training to staff on new equipment across campuses.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is safe and coordinate repairs and servicing.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of equipment and assets, performing regular inventory checks.
- Monitor health, hygiene, and safety standards, managing HACCP records and risk assessments.
- Contribute to reporting, documentation, and effective resource management.
Essential Criteria:
- Level 3 qualification (or higher) in any discipline.
- GCSE in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- At least one year of relevant customer service or administrative experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working with apprentices, trainees, or students.
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to travel between campuses, holding a full UK driving license or equivalent access to transportation.
