Manufacturing Team Leader
Location: Belfast
Salary: £14.71 - £17.21
Shift Pattern: On rotation - Days, Mids & Nights
Ireland's top metal finishing company is part of a larger group with branches and subsidiaries across the country. The group supplies the construction and commercial sectors with top-quality products and services.
We are currently seeking a Team Leader to join our expanding team at the Mallusk site, driven by our ongoing business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the plant operates efficiently, focusing on continuous improvement as measured by KPI targets.
- Process jobs according to the schedule and directives from the supervisor, aiming to meet KPI targets.
- Maintain the highest possible standard of manufacturing quality, ensuring operators follow ISO procedures.
- Ensure weighbridge and de-jigging operators check job quality before packaging, addressing any spikes or rough areas.
- Ensure all jobs are correctly packaged, labelled, and placed in the appropriate yard area.
- Highlight any unsatisfactory work to senior staff members.
- Be responsible for the health and safety of all personnel under your control and maintain high housekeeping standards.
- Ensure premises are secured outside of operational hours.
- Record information in the shift logbook to improve communication.
- Assist and cover for other production personnel to manage workloads and absenteeism.
Essential Requirements:
- Educational Background: Strong understanding of Maths and English.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Team Management: At least 2 years of experience managing and leading a team of 8 or more people.
- Shift Work: Ability to work on a rotational shift basis, including days, mid shifts, and night shifts.
- Administrative Skills: Experience handling administrative tasks such as absence and performance management.
Desirable Qualifications:
- 3rd level education
