Our Client are fast growing Civil Engineering Contractor working across the North and South of Ireland.
Due to expansion, our client is hiring multiple candidates to join their team as a Site Civil Engineer.
The successful candidates will get an all round view of projects. The role would suit someone who wants to gain experience and have the opportunity to be fast tracked towards site management.
As site engineer you will be required to assist the site team with the completion of projects safely, on time and within budget for our clients across the Ireland.
Our Civil Engineering Contract Works include;
- Solar farm construction
- Filling Station Construction
- Public Realms
- Car parks
The ideal candidate will have 1 years experience or have recently graduated and has completed 1 years placement on site.
Qualifications:
- Third level construction degree or equal experience/qualification
- 1+ years of experience in Civil Engineering or related field (preferred)
Essential:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specification
- Full valid driving license
Preferred:
- Experience using AutoCAD software
- Setting out experience using Trimble equipment
Duties include:
- The relaying of information to personnel on site
- Ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are followed
- Setting out of project works and undertaking of surveys
- Check drawings and quantities to help with material orders
- Efficient planning of work to ensure that site operations meet the agreed deadlines through lookaheads and weekly meetings
- Communicate and monitor effectively with the direct workforce and sub-contractors who are engaged in the project as necessary
- Daily record keeping of site operations and submit weekly to our QS on the project to monitor cost and changes
- Ensure that quality records are kept in order to meet project requirements
- Resolving of any technical issues that may arise with your project manager and client
- Additional ad hoc duties
