Job Title: HR & Payroll Admin
Location: Belfast
Salary: 24-27k
Contract: Full Time / Permanent



VANRATH are delighted to be working with our established engineering client as they search for an HR & Payroll Admin to join their growing HR function in Belfast.



You will be responsible for:

  • Accurately process payroll on a monthly basis, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time.
  • Administer employee benefits programmes, including health insurance, company pension schemes, and other voluntary deductions.
  • Assist in developing and updating HR policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate the recruitment process, including posting job vacancies, screening applications and scheduling interviews.
  • Conduct new employee inductions and ensure completion of all required onboarding documentation.
  • Ensure the company complies with all UK and Northern Irish employment laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with UK payroll, wage and hour laws, including the National Minimum Wage and the National Living Wage.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, including the submission of Real Time Information (RTI) reports.
  • Manage and process all payroll deductions, including PAYE tax, National Insurance contributions, and pension schemes in line with UK legislation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in HR regulations and best practices, such as those stipulated by the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland.
  • Maintain and update employee records, including personal data, employment contracts, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports to management, including summaries of earnings, deductions, and leave balances.
  • Update payroll information such as changes in tax codes, exemptions, direct deposit accounts, and other deductions.


About You

  • HR & Payroll Admin experience
  • CIPD/HR/Finance/Business Qualification
