Electrical Engineer

Our client, a well-established company with over 50 years in the industry, is expanding and has created a new position for a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their team. This role offers a great opportunity for an experienced professional to support a dedicated maintenance team in a dynamic environment.

As an Electrical Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring efficient production by maintaining and repairing electrical systems. We're looking for a candidate with solid electrical maintenance experience who is focused on minimising equipment downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues to keep production running smoothly.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to improve system reliability and avoid breakdowns.
  • Install, maintain, and inspect electrical components, wiring, and control devices.
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to breakdowns and emergencies.
  • Plan and prioritise workload in collaboration with engineering and production management.
  • Comply with electrical safety standards and company policies.
  • Keep accurate, up-to-date records of all maintenance tasks.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician in a production or industrial environment.
  • Level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline.
  • Skilled in machinery repairs, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
