We are currently seeking a Skilled Data Engineer to join a leading Professional Services client based in Belfast. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact data engineering projects, leveraging cutting-edge technologies like Azure, Databricks, and Data Lakes.

About the Role:

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable data solutions that will drive actionable insights for a range of professional services clients. You will play a critical role in the design and implementation of data architecture, working with large datasets to ensure their availability, reliability, and security across a variety of applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage data lakes and data pipelines using Azure and Databricks.

  • Develop and optimise solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and storage to support analytics and reporting needs.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable data solutions.

  • Implement data models and frameworks to ensure clean, efficient, and usable datasets.

  • Troubleshoot and optimise performance for data-related processes and workflows.

  • Ensure compliance with data security policies and best practices, ensuring the integrity and privacy of sensitive data.

  • Participate in the continuous improvement of data engineering practices and processes within the team.

What You'll Need:

  • Strong experience with Azure cloud services and data engineering solutions (Data Factory, Databricks, SQL, etc.).

  • Proven expertise in building and maintaining data lakes and data pipelines.

  • Familiarity with Databricks for distributed data processing and analytics.

  • Hands-on experience with data integration, ETL processes, and data modeling.

  • Solid understanding of SQL and data processing tools.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams to meet business data requirements.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn and apply new technologies.
