The Role


The team are seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, preparing accounts and tax returns, and providing exceptional service to our clients. This role requires working in the office five days a week.





  • Client Portfolio Management: Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring their accounting and tax needs are met with the highest standard of service.
  • Accounts Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements and management accounts in compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Tax Compliance: Handle the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with HMRC requirements.
  • Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for your clients, addressing their queries and providing proactive advice on accounting and tax matters.
  • Advisory Services: Provide clients with strategic advice on financial planning, tax efficiency, and business growth.


Your Experience and Skills


Essential Criteria:

  • Qualifications: Chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Experience: Proven experience in managing a client portfolio within a practice environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax compliance, and financial reporting standards.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
