Our client is an award-winning Main Contractor that specialise in high end hotel and residential fitout projects. They work collaboratively with their clients to ensure efficient project delivery and minimum disruptions to operations.

Summary:
The CAD Technician will be responsible for the production of CAD drawings for the manufacturing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read, interpret and produce technical drawings to specification
  • Producing detailed CAD drawings for manufacture based on client requirements
  • Liaising with the design and manufacturing teams
  • Create floor plan layouts
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Schedule own work programme to ensure deadlines are met
  • Ensure records and paperwork are accurate and up to date
  • Adopt a Continuous Improvement approach to processes and practices


The Ideal Person:

  • Experienced CAD Technician in a fast-paced busy environment
  • Have experience in the use of design software packages (i.e. AutoCAD)
  • Be familiar in providing CAD documentation to Client requirements
  • Excellent IT skills especially Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) to build relationships with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders
  • Have CNC Operator and Programming experience
  • Ability to work effectively both alone and in a team environment
  • Possess strong attention to detail
  • Ideally come from a joinery background or have CAD experience in joinery
