VANRATH is collaborating with a leading Manufacturing and Distribution firm renowned for its exceptional reputation to recruit a Buyer. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a company known for its excellent company culture and career development prospects.

Location: Belfast City Office
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 09:00 - 17:00, Early Finish on Friday
Position Type: Permanent
Salary: £34,000 - £37,500 + Bonus & Career Advancement Opportunities + Comprehensive Benefits Package

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the procurement of goods for manufacturing, ensuring optimal lead times and cost-effectiveness.
  • Innovating and streamlining the sourcing process for materials and equipment.
  • Managing supplier performance and building strong relationships with both suppliers and clients.
  • Negotiating prices and services to secure the most advantageous agreements for the company.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and managing the supply chain to provide excellent service and product availability.
  • Adhering to company policies, including Equal Opportunities and Workplace Dignity policies.
  • Performing other relevant tasks as needed.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in a purchasing or buying role.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Office (Outlook and Excel) and Office365, as well as Microsoft Teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
