Business Data Specialist

An industry-leading healthcare packaging company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Data Specialist to join its dynamic team. Reporting to the Product Data Manager, this role is responsible for maintaining high standards of business data accuracy, supporting SAP system functionality, and ensuring alignment with company procedures to enable effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a safety leader and prioritise safety in all duties while adhering to all corporate and site-specific Environmental, Health & Safety policies.
- Drive data quality improvements to ensure productive use of data in the SAP system to support business processes.
- Maintain a solid understanding of planning and manufacturing procedures to ensure accurate, consistent application of documented standards.
- Identify and resolve data issues through root cause analysis and corrective action management.
- Assist with specification creation, updates, and general support for the Data Management team.
- Manage internal and external change requests from departments such as Customer Service, Sales, Manufacturing, Technical/R&D, and Quality Assurance, ensuring compliance with customer and quality requirements.
- Review master data requests, determine classification, priority, and completeness, and assign accordingly.
- Support the Product Data Manager in data analysis, reporting, tracking, and documentation development to uphold system integrity.
- Coordinate master data movement between plant locations within the business unit.
- Participate in data cleansing activities to uphold data quality, integrity, and accuracy.
- Ensure SAP/DMS data accuracy, completeness, and compliance within the area of responsibility.
- Help interpret and analyse business data for use by corporate staff, and assist in system corrections and improvements as needed.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum: Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and business-related work experience.
- Preferred: At least 3 years' experience working with business data functions and requirements in legacy systems.
- Detailed knowledge of SAP is highly advantageous.
- Ongoing business-related continuing education, seminars, and training are expected.

- High attention to detail, with strong analytical, interpretive, and mathematical skills.
- Vigorous problem-solving and investigative mindset.
- Ability to organise and share information effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other related software tools.
