VANRATH were proud to sponsor the Chartered Accountants Ulster Society Young Professionals webinar series that focused on mental well-being and resilience.
In the first session, we were joined by BBC NI sports presenter, Stephen Watson, who shared his story about his highs and lows throughout his kidney transplant journey and how he managed to keep positive throughout. You can watch the first series here.
In the second session we were joined by local entrepreneur, former corporate lawyer, and multi World-titled Transplant Game Athlete Orla Smyth, who shared her story about her struggles with both physical and mental health and will gave us an insight into the stress and difficulty in journeying from startup to success. Next up John Conaghan of Inspire Wellbeing shared his thoughts on the impact of the current situation on mental health and well-being and sign posted the numerous & informative resources available for those seeking advice and support. To finish, Elizabeth Welty, co-founder, and teacher at Flow Yoga Belfast who shared some practical advice and methods for cultivating positivity, mental grit, and reducing stress.
