Thursday 8th June saw the Irish News Workplace & Employment Awards 2017 take place at Titanic Belfast, where a crowd of 600 people gathered to celebrate the most prestigious employers in Northern Ireland.
From the moment the sublimely accomplished St Patrick’s Junior Choir opened proceedings with two rousing renditions of the songs – including ‘Roar’ – which wowed the public on Britain’s Got Talent, to the announcement of winners for the Victoria Square, Lough Eske and Aer Lingus draw prizes, the night went off without a hitch.
Wellbeing, something that we have covered in previous blogs over the past number of months, was one of the key topics of the evening. Guest speaker Brian Higgins, chief executive of suicide and self harm crisis centre Pieta House in Dublin, addressed the topic head on with an uplifting message: "Our vision is of a world where suicide, self-harm and stigma are replaced by hope, self-care and acceptance."
VANRATH were delighted to be part of the evenings celebrations and would like to take this opportunity to congratulate not just the winners of the evening, but all the fantastic companies who made it to the 2017 finals.
