Are you experienced at applying machine learning and deep learning to big-data tasks? Are you excited by analyzing and modeling terabytes of text, images, and other types of data to solve real-world problems? Our client love data and are looking for top scientists capable of using machine learning and other techniques to design, evangelize, and implement state-of-the-art solutions for never-before-solved problems. They solve many of the company’s most difficult and important problems, and in partnership with teams across the organization, they build new services that surprise and delight their customers. They have current and future projects in video processing, audio speech recognition, streaming data analysis, natural language processing, deep learning, and more. Machine learning at our clients business is a highly experimental activity, although theoretical analysis and innovation are also welcome. Our clients applied scientists work closely with software engineers to put algorithms into practice. They also work on cross-disciplinary efforts with social scientists, computer vision experts, and others.

The role:

Define and implement scalable architectural patterns

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and champion best practices in software design through the definition, design, and implementation of new functionality

Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies and software libraries to maximize development efficiency and solution value

Create architectural diagrams and technology roadmaps that shape the future states of applications

Provide technical direction for future development efforts to ensure teams’ activities align with the technology roadmap

Identify software weaknesses and present solutions to improve

Ideal candidate:

Background in

Software Research and Development

Agile Processes

Architecture Oversight

Required Education and Experience:

BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

6-8 years’ experience working experience Software Engineering overall

Experience leveraging third-party libraries and APIs

Working knowledge of the general software landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies

MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

Experience with specific technologies such as Elasticsearch, Hadoop, Spark, Angular, Docker, and Kubernetes

Experience with Agile and Jira

Experience using a distributed version control tool and Maven

Community or open source involvement (e.g. Hackathons, local user groups)
