Procurement Specialist (Belfast)

VANRATH are pleased to be recruiting for a leading Global organisation for a Procurement Specialist based in their Belfast office on a permanent basis. The Procurement Specialist will be required to work with the existing team with delivering a high quality service. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain and build on experience to date within a busy, established team.

Responsibilities:

Duties include:

  • Sourcing of goods and services through appropriate suppliers
  • Review of standard commodity and service contracts to verify and ensure compliance with Global Procurement’s standard contract terms
  • Management of the execution process for standard contract terms in compliance with the Firm’s General Council’s requirements
  • Ensure adherence to documented purchasing policies, procedures, and processes for Global Services and other Firm entities
  • Assist with the leveraging of technology to develop cost effective solutions and automation of Procurement processes
  • Identity an initiate contact with potential suppliers, as assigned
  • Market research and analysis of data to inform procurement decisions initiatives
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of vendor performance metrics for use in placement of repeat or new business
  • Communicate status on issues and opportunities to internal and external management and suppliers
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to identify and document business requirement of procurement initiatives
  • Perform other job-related duties as required

The Ideal Person:

  • Relevant undergraduate degree with 2:1 classification or above
  • Minimum of 2-4 years experience in a procurement role
  • Experience with the full procurement lifecycle from proposal through contract implementation preferred
  • Experience of working within a non-manufacturing environment
  • Excellent MS Office skills, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel
  • General understanding of contract terms and structure
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, maintaining a professional presence
  • Ability to coordinate various projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary
  • Ability to organise workload and meet all schedules and deadlines

Remuneration:

£24,000 – £27,000
