Key Account Manager (Food)

VANRATH Have partnered with an established, yet growing, Agri Foods provider to recruit a Key Account Manager to their Commercial team.

Based in Dungannon with minimal UK travel, the Key Account Manager will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Commercial Director in developing and maintaining customer accounts across the UK and Ireland.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and secure new accounts
  • Maximise sales revenue, margins and performance by driving business growth and achieving positive results
  • Plan and prioritise sales activities through developing and delivering PR and marketing campaigns
  • Conduct customer review meetings
  • Drive to meet and exceed agreed KPI’s
  • Management of customer questionnaires/store visits and audits
  • Management of Service Level Agreements
  • Arranging and attending client/potential client meetings where applicable
  • Compose relevant proposals for potential customers
  • Respond to and follow up on sales enquiries, customer enquiries, complaints
  • Be commercially aware of competitors and aim to stay ahead
  • Liaise with NPD and Technical Departments on product development and launches
  • Reporting
  • Participation in continuous improvement project work
  • Any other duties and reasonable tasks within your capability as set out by Management.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Educated to degree or equivalent in a Business/ Food related discipline (highly desirable)
  • 3+ years relevant experience in the food industry
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Demonstrable experience in sales or marketing within the FMCG industry
  • Organised and able to prioritise own workload
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and coherently with other team members
  • Flexibility with working times to ensure consistency of service level agreements
