Warehouse Operative Picker

Job Description

To support the production and dispatch of customer orders while maintaining adherence to health and safety regulations and procedures at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced team to unpack and organize stock with accuracy.
  • Fulfill all orders to the highest standard.
  • Unload deliveries and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Prepare wholesale orders for delivery in cooperation with the wholesale team.
  • Pick and scan orders accurately using RF guns.
  • Minimize missed sales and losses through precise picking.
  • Keep the work area clean and tidy, ensuring general maintenance of the warehouse floor.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in approach to work.
  • Ensure adequate supply of products in pick locations by building and packing out pick locations.
  • Promptly communicate any stock issues to the Stock Department for quick resolution.
  • Meet team targets and ensure all procedures are followed.
  • Report any concerns to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Suggest improvements to enhance service quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe working environment in line with the company's H&S policy.
  • Act professionally and courteously as an ambassador for the company.

Essential Criteria:

  • Grade C or above in GCSE Maths and English.
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Physical and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Demonstrated use of continuous improvement techniques.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to perform well under pressure.

Desirable Criteria:

  • NVQ in Warehouse Management.
  • Experience using voice picking units.
  • Organized and efficient.

Working Hours

  • 14:30 - 23:15
  • Monday - Friday
