They are seeking a skilled and motivated Tax Technician to join the team. The ideal candidate will be ATT qualified with proven experience in preparing personal tax returns and VAT returns. In this role, you will also have the opportunity to mentor and train junior staff, contributing to their professional development and ensuring high standards of service across the firm.
What you will do
- Prepare and review personal tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Manage and prepare VAT returns in a timely manner.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, including mentoring and training.
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies for clients.
- Liaise with clients and address any queries related to tax matters.
What you will have:
- ATT qualification is essential.
- Demonstrable experience in the preparation of personal tax returns and VAT returns.
- Strong understanding of current tax legislation and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to mentor and train staff, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a flexible, hybrid work environment.
