Are you looking for a Supervisor role? Interested in working for a leading Construction Company?

VANRATH are recruiting a Supervisor to work for a large, leading Construction Company that specialise in Social Housing maintenance projects, based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Remuneration:
£38,000 + van / fuel card / excellent benefits package

Overview:
To effectively plan, manage and control new and existing contracts and partnerships. As a senior member of the operational team, you will be an influential figure and as such be required to demonstrate a presence and 'go to' figure head for daily queries and general support, to immediate and wider team.

Building and maintaining client relationships will be key, working alongside Commercial and Central Teams. To effectively, manage all activities from planning, management and completion of works to the standards set out by the contract, ensuring the best interests of the company are maintained throughout with close adherence to the following:

  • KPIS
  • Health and safety
  • Productivity
  • Quality
  • Adherence to British and European Fire Door Standard
  • Compliance with company policies and procedures


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high-quality service to tenants, specifically within domestic properties that are either occupied or void
  • Attend all relevant training courses, including all health and safety
  • Work in accordance with any training and instructions given and bring to the attention of the employer any shortcomings and defects in the management systems and protective measures
  • Assist with the adherence to the Company quality standards including:
  • Fire compliance in line with current standards
  • Compliance with specification and SOR codes
  • Adherence to the sequence of events for each job on the PDA
  • Ensure van stock is processed and managed accordingly
  • Ensure work is completed to the highest standard in line with timescales
  • KPI compliance
  • Review recalled and rejected work with the aim of reducing issues
  • Increase productivity onsite
  • Work closely with the Procurement Team for ordering and procurement of materials and stock
  • Planning of larger works to ensure overall efficiency of delivery
  • Liaison with the client, consultants and contract administrators to ensure streamline completion of works
  • Effectively collaborate with administrators to ensure best possible job life cycle and completion in line with KPI's
  • Oversee/assist in the training of apprentices as required
  • Manage staff sickness and holiday entitlement and undertake investigations and disciplinaries where necessary
  • Occasional attendance at KPI and Client meetings
  • Any other reasonable management request


SHEQ

  • Ensure teams understand and implement the requirements of the Health and Safety Policy, Site Rules, SHEQ procedures, etc.
  • Ensure the File System is adhered to and all relevant documents completed in line with this
  • Ensure sites/jobs follow safe working practices and legal requirements are met
  • Ensure all accidents and incidents are reported and corrective actions are implemented and closed out
  • Assist with any accident/incident investigations following the SHEQ procedures
  • Undertake Weekly SHEQ Inspections and record MSV visits

  • Relevant Industry accreditation / Qualifications
  • Track record working in the Social Housing sector
  • Excellent communicator both written and verbal
  • Strong relationship builder with team members and clients
  • Strategic thinker
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Track record of delivering results
  • Familiar with current fire regulations
  • CSR Card
  • Current and valid UK driving licence
