An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Health Service NI as a SQL DBA - Infrastructure on a 6-month contract. Based in Belfast with a hybrid working model, this role is perfect for an experienced SQL Database Administrator with a strong background in infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain SQL databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
- Oversee database infrastructure, including backups, disaster recovery, and system monitoring.
- Perform database tuning, upgrades, and patch management to ensure system reliability.
- Support infrastructure projects and collaborate with IT teams to implement solutions.
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide technical support for users.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a SQL DBA, with a focus on infrastructure management.
- Strong skills in database performance tuning, backups, and recovery strategies.
- Experience in managing SQL Server environments.
- Knowledge of disaster recovery, high availability, and server management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Experience working within public sector or health services is desirable.
