Software Developer - Temp Contract

Job Title: Software Developer
Location: Belfast
Duration: 6 -12 months Temp Contract
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join my clients team in Belfast for a temporary assignment with a well-known public sector organisation dedicated to benefits for everyone across Northern Ireland. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of developers to create high-quality software, ensuring adherence to project time lines under the direction of the Technical Specialist and Team Leader. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and testing software components with a focus on security, scalability, compatibility, and maintainability. You will also delegate tasks, offer technical guidance, and monitor progress.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Analyse user requirements and contribute to ICT solutions design and implementation.
• Develop, implement, and support IT applications using various protocols and technologies.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders and service users.
• Support ICT services and project team members, internally and externally.
• Lead or participate in ICT programmes, ensuring timely progress.
• Plan and schedule project implementations to meet deadlines.
• Assist in hardware, software, and service selection and procurement.
• Contribute to change release activities and manage ITS Change Advisory Board engagement.
• Develop and maintain Service Transitioning Assurance Process (STAP) documentation.
• Record, analyse, and resolve complex ICT incidents and problems.
• Communicate technical issues and incidents to stakeholders and service users.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
