VANRATH are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work for an established bespoke fit-out company in Antrim, Northern Ireland

Remuneration:

£Competitive DOE + Package

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Thursday Friday 8:30am to 3pm

Our client is a leading bespoke fit out company delivering on projects across Northern Ireland.

They have a great opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join them on a permanent basis, working in Antrim.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive successful tender documents from the Commercial Department
  • Scrutinise cost breakdowns for every manufacture item required
  • Preparation of project budget for joinery workshop
  • Value and agree the cost of any variations
  • Prepare cost, value and reconciliation monthly reports on each assigned project
  • With regards to estimate build up costs for each element of the work, identify labour, material requirements and source and obtain quotations where applicable.
  • Liaise with purchasing / buying for specialist providers
  • Attend internal hand-over meetings
  • Provide feedback information to the Commercial Department regarding tender values vs. actual costs
  • Undertake any other duties and projects allocated, which are within the individual's sphere of Knowledge, experience or competency

The Ideal Person:

  • Candidates must possess a third level qualification in a relevant discipline; Quantity Surveying, building or construction/manufacturing
  • Excellent IT skills, knowledge / understanding of spreadsheets and / or estimating software
  • Experience in a similar role
