Senior Linux Engineer

VANRATH are delighted to be working with an established cyber security provider on their search for a senior linux engineer. This is a highly technical position, with a strong background in Linux administration required.

This role is covering US team hours between 2pm - 11pm UK time.

Responsibilities:

• Consult with clients to understand their technology needs and provide recommendations.
• Promptly troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on issues.
• Manage and update cases in a ticketing system, ensuring quality communication with clients and the team.
• Document all completed work and train support staff on client systems.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of Linux server administration experience
• 4+ years of Storage/Network experience from a Linux/UNIX perspective (SAN, iSCSI, networking issues)
• 3+ years of centralized authentication services (e.g., Centrify)
• 3+ years of experience with automation tools (e.g., Puppet/Ansible) preferred
• Experience with Docker containers
• VMWare ESXi beneficial
