VANRATH are pleased to be working exclusively with a leading public sector employer based in Ballymena, in their search for a Senior Financial Analyst.

The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with the senior leadership team, analysing large data sets and recommending improvements/changes to current processes. The Senior Financial Analyst will be part of a larger project team, who are tasked with reviewing the spend/cost across the organisations within specific areas. This is an interesting opportunity to become involved with one of the region's largest employers, while getting involved in a detailed and interesting project.

The Senior Financial Analyst will be required to have excellent communication skills, as you will at times be working with non-finance staff, in respect to presenting financial results. This role would suit a confident individual who enjoys the challenge on interpreting figures, into tangible results.

About you

  • Part-Qualified/QBE/Qualified Accountant
  • Strong IT skills including
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong IT literacy including Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work in a large team

What you'll do

  • Business partner with departmental managers in respect to financial figures, reviewing and recommending changes
  • Work closely with a project team to ensure deliverables are being met
  • Project accounting
  • Presenting financial results to senior management
  • Taking autonomy over project results
