Job Overview:

VANRATH is delighted to partner once again with a well-known transport organisation to recruit a Senior Application Support professional. This role involves providing comprehensive IT support to users across the business, ensuring effective utilisation of corporate applications. The successful candidate will deliver work packages as defined by project and program managers, offer cover for the Software teams, IS Help Desk, and other IT functions, all within a team support environment.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide corporate-wide IT support to users.
  • Deliver work packages as assigned by project and program managers.
  • Offer cover for the IS Help Desk and other IT functions.
  • Ensure effective use of corporate applications.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software compatibility issues across various configurations.
  • Bring expert knowledge of customer service experience in a software environment.
  • Attend other locations as required, using a personal driving licence.
  • Occasionally work out of hours.


Essential Criteria:

Education:

  • Possess an IT or Business-related qualification.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of technical support or related customer service experience in a software environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with computer hardware and network operating systems.

Skills:

  • Expertise in troubleshooting hardware and software compatibility issues across various configurations.
  • Knowledge of Azure and Microsoft systems.
  • Interest in Cyber Security.
  • Possess a current driving licence for work-related purposes.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours.


Desirable Criteria:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with cloud computing, including migrating "on-premise" applications to the cloud.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Willing to work an "Out of Hours" rota.
