Role Summary:
VANRATH is currently seeking a skilled Robotics Programmer to join our client's manufacturing team. This role involves providing specialised support for new assembly processes, with a primary focus on programming robotic machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and experience with robotic systems, especially in welding.

There is room for growth in this role, with plans to create a robotics team that the right candidate would eventually lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Development: Create programs for new assemblies using offline CAD DTPS software.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve faults in robotic systems.
  • Product Testing: Participate in the testing of new products to ensure optimal performance.
  • Documentation: Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for assembly processes and troubleshooting guides.
  • Factory Support: Work hands-on with the factory floor team to assist in builds and enhance product knowledge.
  • Program Optimisation: Review and refine existing programs to eliminate bugs and improve cycle times.
  • Reporting: Generate reports on program effectiveness and areas for improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Engage in Lean manufacturing and 5S projects to enhance operational efficiency.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Third level qualification or equivalent in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 1 year of experience in programming robotic machinery.
  • Experience with robotic welding systems is a significant advantage.
