Registered Manager (Mental Health)
Location: Belfast
Salary: £47,000

As a Registered Manager (Mental Health), you will play a pivotal role in leading a committed team and delivering high-quality care. This position offers opportunities for career growth, alongside the satisfaction of positively impacting lives. The home will have maximum of 15 service users.

Key Responsibilities


Leadership and Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the inpatient facility.
  • Inspire and lead a team to provide outstanding care.
  • Develop and maintain policies in line with mental health legislation.


Clinical Expertise

  • Offer expert guidance on mental health care practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal standards.
  • Train and support staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.


Patient Care

  • Deliver personalised, compassionate, and effective care.
  • Regularly review and adapt patient care plans to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Foster a therapeutic and recovery-focused environment.


Operational Excellence

  • Manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Conduct audits and implement quality assurance measures.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to enhance patient care pathways.


Regulatory Compliance

  • Stay informed about changes in mental health legislation.
  • Ensure all staff comply with relevant laws and regulations.

Essential Criteria

  • Registered Manager, Nurse, or Social Worker with a Level 5 or NVQ in Residential Management.
  • Significant experience managing complex mental health needs in a similar setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act.
  • Leadership experience, including clinical supervision.
  • Skilled in creating and managing care plans and risk assessments.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with challenging patient groups.
  • Proficient in English and computer literacy.
  • Flexible and willing to meet the evolving needs of the role.
  • Right to work in the UK.


Desirable Criteria

  • Valid NMC registration.
  • Previous experience in a mental health management role within a care setting.
  • Completion of a Leadership or Management Programme.
